Festive Friday Blog Hop Design 6

Welcome to your next stop on the Festive Friday Blog Hop.  You should have just came from Laura Davidson's Blog - Laura Lee's Dream.

Card number six is based on my theme for my Christmas Cards this year, which is Snow.  I will state it is extremely difficult to think of snow when the ground is covered in pollen and it it 80 degrees here.  The card is my a horizontal card 4 1/4” x 5 1/2” when folded and was constructed on Blue card stock made by Canson (I have had it for years!)  I once again used Metal Tape (I think I have a problem - lol.)  The Square embellishment is a piece of cardboard (cereal box) covered with shiny, snowflake wrapping paper.  I have no idea who made the wrapping paper... I actually unwrapped a present (when I worked at the hotel) and re-wrapped it in another paper so I could keep this paper - horrible I know.  I then applied Navy Dye Ink around the edges and used Pop Dots to give it a 3D look.  I then embossed the metal tape with my American Traditional embosser.  I took my Glossy Accents and added the snowflakes in the background and I also did the snowflakes on the square.  I still wasn't pleased with the card it needed something... so I pulled out my PLAID Extreme Glitter Paint #2790 Turquoise and brushed it on the square and the metal tape.  To my surprise it did not flake or peal off the metal tape!
